Contents Manipulation Services

Our Services

Contents Manipulation & Handling

We move and rearrange your belongings within your property to create clear workspace for restoration crews, without a full pack out.

What Is Contents Manipulation?

Contents manipulation is the strategic rearrangement of your belongings within your property to give restoration crews the access they need. Not every job requires a full pack out. Sometimes, moving furniture and contents from one side of a room to the other is enough.

Our team carefully lifts, shifts, and repositions items to create clear work zones while keeping your belongings protected with floor coverings, furniture pads, and plastic sheeting. This service is faster and more cost-effective than a full pack out when damage is limited to a specific area.

We coordinate directly with your restoration contractor to understand exactly which areas need to be cleared and plan the manipulation accordingly. Once the work is done, we move everything back into position.

When You Need This Service

Partial Damage

When only one wall, floor section, or corner of a room is affected, manipulation lets crews access the damage without removing everything from the space.

Painting & Refinishing

Interior painting, floor refinishing, and surface treatments require clear walls and floors. We move contents to the center or adjacent rooms and protect them with coverings.

Equipment Access

Restoration equipment like dehumidifiers, air movers, and air scrubbers need placement space. We rearrange contents to accommodate equipment without blocking airflow.

Our Process

01

Area Assessment

We meet with the restoration contractor to identify which areas need to be cleared and determine the best arrangement for the remaining contents.

02

Protection Setup

Floors are covered with protective sheeting. Furniture gets padded wraps. Electronics and fragile items are covered and secured before any moving begins.

03

Strategic Rearrangement

Contents are carefully moved to create the required workspace. We stack, group, and organize items to maximize access while minimizing the footprint of relocated belongings.

04

Reset & Replacement

Frequently Asked Questions

When is manipulation better than a full pack out?

Manipulation is ideal when damage is limited to a small area and most of the room contents can stay in place with rearrangement. It is faster and less expensive than removing everything from the property.

Will my belongings be protected during manipulation?

Yes. We use furniture pads, plastic sheeting, and floor coverings to protect all items during the rearrangement process. Fragile items receive individual wrapping.

How long does contents manipulation take?

Most manipulation jobs are completed in a few hours. Larger spaces with heavy furniture may take a full day. We work around your schedule and the restoration crew timeline.

Need Contents Moved?

We handle the heavy lifting so restoration crews can focus on repairs.
